UsPaar is located on 2 acres of land in the village of Chikni, near Kashid along a scenic coastline 3.5 hours south of Mumbai. The space is arranged around a small lake and its centerpiece is a large, well-equipped, work and performance space. Residential accommodation for 16 people, and a common kitchen and dining space make up the rest of the facilities.

Workspace
UsPaar’s work and performance space is at the core of the residency. The high tiled roof, the long windows, and the red oxide floor create a supportive work environment. The room has also been treated for acoustics and is ideal for the human voice and for musical instruments.

Dining Area
Food for the Soul: Fueling Your Creativity

UsPaar has a fully equipped kitchen with a capacity to turn out simple and nutritious vegetarian and meat based food with the distinct flavors of coastal Maharashtrian cuisine.

Our drinking water is drawn from a well on the campus and undergoes double filtration. 

The dining area is open on three sides with a wonderful view of our lake and the setting sun in the late evenings. The design of the space encourages community eating and interaction. 

Accomodation
Restful Retreats: Comfort in Nature

UsPaar can accommodate up to 16 people for a residency project. 

Two high roof dorm structures with mezzanine floors can accommodate 6 persons each. Each dorm has two spacious washrooms. The common space between dorms looks out over the lake, has seating and transforms into the common area for those post-work sessions. 

Two cottages for double occupancy with ensuite washrooms and small sit out balconies. The cottages overlook the lake and have a small balcony attached to them.

Each room is equipped with a cupboard for storage and a worktable with a study lamp.
